POSITION
Summary:
It is the primary responsibility of the Race and Sports Shift Supervisor to oversee the daily operation of the Race and Sports book during their shift and/or in the absence of the Race and Sports Book Shift Manager.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Assist, train and lead Race and Sports Mutuel ClerksApprove complimentary items for guests and over-the-limit wagers for the propertyClose out writers at the end of the shift and ensure money has been transferred to the main cageMove and monitor betting linesExplain betting lines and odds to customersPerform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the departmentIssue disciplinary action when requested by Sports Book Manager/DirectorPerform other job-related duties as requestedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Working knowledge of gaming regulations and compliance with Title 31, Regulation 22, and IRS FormsAble to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal formsAble to lead and mentor a teamExcellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contactsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalentTwo (2) years experience in a similar resort settingWork varied shifts, to include weekends and holidaysPREFERRED:
Six (6) months of prior Race and Sportsbook experienceCurrently in a Supervisor capacity in Race & Sports.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
