PRIMARY PURPOSE:
As a Seamer, you will set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service.
By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW moments and memories they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Fit, alter and repair uniforms within clean precise guidelinesFamiliar with cutting all types of fabric and pattern making and care on all varieties of fabricsPerform many types of hand sewing and work with curved needles, adhesives, and other specific suppliesSew on all fabrics including stretch fabrics, vinyl, and leatherDetermine if uniform has met its life-span and report to SupervisorAdhere to all Health Department, OSHA, sanitations, and safety regulations to include chemical usage for spottingUse Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as requiredPerform all other job-related duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Ability to operate industrial straight stitch, zig zag and overlock machines, and embroidery machines where applicableAbility to operate sewing machines, steamers, and ironsKnowledgeable with fabric care on all varieties of fabrics and cutting all types of fabrics and pattern makingAble to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal formsExcellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detailExcellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contactsMaintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standardsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalentWork varied shifts, to include weekends and holidaysPREFERRED:
Five (5) years of previous experience in sewing fieldExperience with high quality uniforms made from a variety of fabricsExperience with AAA/ Mobile/ Forbes guest service standards in a hotel/resort settingSalary:
